Cellusion CEO Shin Hatou lectured at the academic seminar co-sponsored by Minaris Regenerative Medicine at the 23rd Congress of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine
The 23rd Congress of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine was held at Toki Messe Niigata Convention Center and Hotel Nikko Niigata in Niigata Prefecture from March 21 to 23, 2024. Under the theme of “Compassion,” the general meeting featured presentations on the latest research in regenerative medicine and a symposium to discuss measures to promote its practical application.
On the final day, the 23rd, our CEO, Shin Hatou, delivered a lecture at an academic seminar co-sponsored by Minaris Regenerative Medicine.
Under the title of “The Research and Development of New Corneal Regenerative Medicine Using iPS Cells,” he presented the unmet medical needs in the field of Corneal transplantation, the progress of “Corneal Endothelial Cell Substitute from iPS Cells (CLS001)” that we are developing, and the issues surrounding corneal transplants that CLS001 will solve.
Many people showed interest in our R&D activities, and the 300-seat venue was filled to capacity.
The Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine (JSRM) has approximately 6000 members involved in research in a wide variety of fields in the natural sciences such as basic medicine/dentistry, clinical medicine/dentistry, tissue engineering, and cell biology, as well as fields in the humanities and in sociology such as bioethics, regulatory science, law, and medical economics.
